HYDRODEMOLITION

Hydrodemolition is gentle on structures and environment

Hydrodemolition is a technique developed in Europe in the 1980s that has since become widespread worldwide. It is used primarily for the removal of damaged concrete.

Hydrodemolition is a precise technique in which deteriorated concrete is removed using high-pressure water. The water penetrates cracks in the damaged concrete, causing it to break apart. This technique doesn't generate vibration throughout the structure like a jackhammer would, leaving surrounding structure undamaged.

Hydrodemolition facilitates further repair work

The key advantages of hydrodemolition are clean, undamaged reinforcing steel and the creation of a surface that facilitates subsequent processing. These are the basic prerequisites for completing successful repair work following the removal of damaged material.

In addition to being gentle on structures, hydrodemolition is also environmentally friendly, as it is completely dust-free and, when used in residential buildings, does not bother residents by causing structure-borne noise.
